Boutiques, water sports facilities and two harbours round off the offer.
The two fast ferries ‘ARMAS’ and ‘FRED.OLSEN’ run approximately every hour from the ferry port, located in the centre of the village, which connects the island of Lanzarote with the island of Fuerteventura, 11.5 km away. A good opportunity to explore our neighbouring island. However, the tour with a hire car must be authorised by the car hire company. The older part of the ferry harbour has recently been redesigned and is reserved for fishing boats and private motorboats. Here you can also buy freshly caught fish or enjoy it prepared in the small typical restaurants.
The highlight, however, is the ‘Marina Rubicón’, the private marina with all its various facilities. It is located a short walk east of the centre of Playa Blanca. You don’t necessarily have to have moored a boat there yourself to enjoy this marvellous place. Here you will find many fine restaurants, pizza and snack bars, cafés, cosmetics, jewellery and fashion shops. Have fun discovering the stylish facilities alongside the yachts and pleasure boats. The market every Wednesday and Saturday rounds off the offer.
In the nature reserve ‘Los Ajaches’, at the eastern end of Playa Blanca, you will find beautiful bays and unique sandy beaches, the ‘Playas de Papagayos’.
