House rules

Dear guests
We kindly ask you to observe the following rules.

Bungalow and inventory
In order to ensure that you and all subsequent guests have as pleasant a stay as possible, we ask that you treat the bungalow and all associated furnishings with care.

Damage
Something can always break, this is not a problem and can be sorted out quickly. Just let us know as soon as possible so that we can put it right for the next guests. We cannot accept damage that is only discovered after your departure. If the damage is minor, such as broken glass, we as the landlord will replace it. However, you as the tenant are liable for major damage to the equipment or the holiday accommodation. If insured, your liability insurance will cover the damage in the best case.

Keys
You will receive 2 front door keys on arrival. Please never let these out of your hand. If you lose the keys, you will be charged the cost of replacing them.

Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in the outside area of the bungalow.

Pets
Pets are only allowed on request. We reserve the right to refuse. Any damage or soiling caused by pets will be charged to the owner.
There are some free-roaming cats in the complex. These may not be allowed in the bungalow or on the cushions and pads used in the outdoor area. Subsequent guests may have an animal hair allergy.
Please do not leave cushions and pads outside at night. Thank you

Quiet times
The quiet times in the complex are regulated by the owners‘ association. Out of consideration and in the interests of good neighbourliness, the midday and Sunday quiet periods must be observed. There is also a daily quiet period between 10.00 pm and 8.00 am.

Events and parties
Larger events and parties are generally prohibited.

Parking
Free private parking spaces are available in front of the facility. Please ensure that other vehicles or pavements are not blocked when parking.

Arrival and departure
(separate arrangements can be made as required)

To ensure that ‘Mi Casita’ is optimally prepared for you, you can check in from 2 pm on the day of arrival.

On the day of departure, ‘Mi Casita’ must be vacated by 10 am and left in an orderly condition.

We would like to ask you to do the following things yourself before departure:

Empty the fridge
Clean the crockery and put it back in its dry place
Dispose of any remaining food
Dispose of household waste in the bins provided (next to the car park)
Switch off electrical appliances (except fridge)
If you have used the gas barbecue, please clean it. It’s best to line it with aluminium foil before grilling, then it’s no big deal 😉
Close windows & sliding doors
Lock the front door, leave the key in the key safe

Tips for living in the biosphere reserve

In 1993, the island of Lanzarote was awarded the title of ‘Biosphere Reserve’ by UNESCO. In order to fulfil its obligation to preserve this reserve, the island’s government has compiled some tips on living in the biosphere reserve to make tourists and residents aware of the steps that can help to promote this process. Help to preserve the unique landscape of this island.

Do not waste water. Drinking water on Lanzarote is obtained by desalinating seawater. This process is expensive and pollutes the environment.

Separate the waste. Waste separation is an important part of conserving resources and establishing an effective recycling process.

Waste is also separated and sorted on Lanzarote in the same way as in Germany. Waste bins are available on the streets.

Yellow containers for plastics, tetra packs, film, cans, etc.

Green containers for glass bottles and jars of all kinds.

Blue containers for cardboard and paper.

The green or black bins with lids are for all types of residual waste.

Do not collect volcanic material and do not uproot plants. The geology and flora characterise the island landscapes.

Keep the beaches clean. Litter and cigarette butts pollute the environment.

Do not leave the roads and paths. Car and footprints can destroy the incipient vegetation and often take many months to disappear again.

Consume local products. Supporting local agriculture helps to preserve important traditions and has a lasting impact on the rural landscape.
